Pathways & Hard Standing

Pathways

Pedestrian pathways often get neglected because we are more tolerable with bad, uneven and muddy ground. But that doesn’t mean we should leave them as they are, especially incline pathways such as forest trails.

Take Good Care Of Foothpaths

EquiGrids products are useful in reinforcing the ground for pedestrian pathways. The woven and non-woven geotextile membranes create a barrier that separates between layers to keep the ground in structure and last longer.

A premium option would be installing an EquiGrids permeable porous paving grid with the geotextile membranes. An EquiGrids E40 grids are more than enough to deal with pedestrian traffic, horses and light vehicles.

Installing the grids also means the soil will not be compacted, leading to a permanent well draining system.

Hard Standing

On the other hand, hard standing is a hard surface where vehicles can be parked, hence, EquiGrids installation is recommended. Either EquiGrids E40 or E50 can be used depending on the vehicle weight and frequency.

For domestic driveways and car parks where light vehicles such as cars and motorbikes will be parked, EquiGrids E40 has the strength to support them.

For storage, lorry and aircraft areas where heavy-duty will be parked such as lorries, EquiGrids E50 is the most suitable grid.

EquiGrids Permeable Paving E40 Grid

EquiGrids E40

We also refer to E40 as our “universal Grid” because it can handle most ground reinforcement projects. Weight capacity up to 500 tonnes when filled with gravel.

Available in 3 colours: Black, green and terracotta.

EquiGrids Permeable Paving E50 Grid

EquiGrids E50

The strongest grid in the range, when filled with gravel can carry up to 800 tonnes.

One square metre’s weight is about 9.55kg and from 100% recycled polyethylene.

Available in 3 colours: Black, green and terracotta.

As with all of our EquiGrids, they are guaranteed for 20 years, properly tested, backed by years of case studies and made from 100% recycled plastic. The safe and environmental choice versus traditional build methods.
